Homeless With Four Children

When Norah was kicked out of her home by her boyfriend with her four young children, she was desperate. She had no one to turn to but knew that she didn't want her children to sleep on the streets, so she called Child Protective Services (CPS).
Because Norah's four month old daughter is medically compromised, CPS was able to arrange for her to have a hotel room at night, so she and her kids have a safe, sheltered place to sleep.
Unfortunately, Norah and her children are only allowed to be in the hotel at night and the hotel room changes nearly every day. That means that every morning, by herself, Norah has to pack up her kids and all their belongings and then spend the day outside or in a public building.
Because of the rent assistance freeze in Minnesota due to several million dollar fraud scheme that was recently discovered in housing assistance, an overwhelming number of families are homeless right now. Norah is struggling to find space in a shelter because they are all at capacity and facing a backlog of applicants.
The cost of other housing is out of reach, so for the foreseeable future the routine of transferring hotel rooms each day is Norah's only option.
But you have stepped into the gap to help!
Two Together for Good host families have surrounded Norah's younger kids – including the four-month-old! Thanks to you, they are being hosted every weekend and support volunteers are wrapping around her family in practical ways – like doing laundry so that Norah and her kids have clean clothes to wear.
Thank you for ensuring that despite the crisis facing Norah, she is not alone. Her family is experiencing the tangible love of Jesus as they are surrounded by Christians who love them and are walking alongside them in this difficult time.
