Molly* is a participant mom who connected with Together for Good two years ago. At that time, Molly had a baby boy, Sean*, whom she was desperate to keep. Molly had already lost older children to child protective services (CPS) due to her struggle with substances. Sean was a second chance.

When Leah was hospitalized with a severe respiratory infection in early April, the hospital called Together for Good (TFG) for care for her 4-month-old son, Michael. Leah had moved from out of state and had no family to care for her son.

On Zaira’s second day of working for Together for Good, we received a referral from a mom, Elena, who recently moved from Colombia. Elena only spoke Spanish, had no social support in Waco, and was about to deliver a baby. She had learned about TFG from another participant mom who recommended Elena use our support as she welcomed her new baby and became established in Waco. 

Families quickly came around, Allison; it was their support that allowed her to keep her job.

With Xander needing a special host family who was able to keep up with his energy, it began taking a little longer than expected to find the right fit. In the meantime, Londyn was matched with a parent advocate, Debbie.

With dropping temperatures at each of our sites – even in Texas– this past month, our volunteers have been so faithful in quickly meeting our participants' urgent needs for warm clothing.
